Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount plans to initiate mass layoffs the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount planned to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the company had about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond regarding the report.
